The Harvard Professor Dr. Howard Gardner has studied the subject of intelligence for many years. Dr. Gardner has proposed to revise and expand our idea of what constitutes the ' intelligence. Gardner suggested I consider at least seven forms of intelligence.

These are: verbal-linguistic, logical-mathematical, Visual-spatial, musical, bodily-kinesthetic, interpersonal, social, and intra-staff. See if you can find out what forms of intelligence are stronger than you.

People who have a strong linguistic intelligence respond so profound for the construction and the sound of language, and get a lot of pleasure out of the words. Writers, poets, editors and Excel in this form of intelligence. People who show a strong need to correct the errors of grammar are also very strong in this section.

People with the logical-mathematical intelligence may become successful lawyers, mathematicians, computer programmers, and scientists. They are able to analyze logically the information and follow the extremely complex chains of ideas.

Among those who are in possession of a strong visual-spatial intelligence, some will have a glorious, passionate understanding of color. Others will be strongly respond to Visual texture, line, or three-dimensional space. Artists, decorators, designers, sculptors, photographers and architects must be in possession of this form of intelligence to succeed in their fields.

musical intelligence is the ability to understand and respond to music, not only as background noise, but with an ability to get meaning from ' interaction of phonetics melodies, rhythms and structures. A person with musical intelligence cannot be necessarily playing or composing music, but it will be a passionate listener, come out much more the ' experience of an average person.

Bodily-kinesthetic intelligence is very high in those people who Excel in sports and dance. And ' also a great resource in actors. They are extremely attuned to which all parts of their bodies are in space and are able to exert a very subtle but powerful control of all their muscles.

People with a high degree of interpersonal intelligence are good at picking up cues for the emotions of others and understand the emotional States of those around them. They are particularly good at empathize with others, and know how to comfort, inspire and guide people.

This is a good feature to have in a political leader. And ' also a desirable quality in teachers, therapists and sales personnel.

Our thinking becomes more fluid and supple, and understand more about the world around us and within us, when we have a larger vocabulary. In the modern world the ability to use words effectively is often appreciated.

After reading an article or a book, try to write the two different versions summarizing your ideas. Make a version that uses very simple, everyday words. Make it as clear and simple as you possibly can while maintaining accuracy. Do a ' another version that uses very complex sentences and advanced vocabulary, how can you imagine a University Professor might write. This will give your brain a good work-out and enhance verbal and mental flexibility.

If you are committed to expanding your vocabulary, how many new words you should try to learn in a day? It's up to you. Just two new words a day add up to more than 7000 words in ten years. Ten words a day would add 36,000 words in ten years.

Once you've learned a lot of new words, it should work in your conversation every chance you get? The type of vocabulary used should always be appropriate to the context in which you are writing or speaking.

For example, if you talk to a group of high school outcasts, you can use different words that if you are talking to a group of scientists.

The Internet is a miraculous cure for loneliness?

A few years ago a poll surprising to find that people who have spent a lot of time on the Internet were more lonely than people who did not spend much time on the network.

This was an unexpected discovery, because many people view the Internet and e-mail as a great way to make and maintain connections with other people.

So what is the truth? The passage of time on the Internet actually make people more alone?

Or maybe just this study demonstrate that people who are already only spend a lot of time on the net? As often happens, the technology itself is neutral; If it is good or bad depends on how technology is used.

The day can fly very quickly when you spend time on the Internet, if you are looking for information, or by visiting a chat room. The ' use of the Internet, you can easily find people who share the same obscure interests you may have, such as ' increase of Abyssinian cats, or study Florentine tapestries.

Through the Internet you can find a ' another person that is struggling with a disease or a problem similar to yours, and who understands exactly what you are going through.

The vastness and the speed of the Internet means that you can connect instantly with people from the ' the other side of the world and have long conversations with their intimate issues you've never talked to anyone else.

L ' anonymity of the Internet can be a double-edged sword '. You can feel safe to reveal your deepest self to an unknown because he lives 5,000 miles away and they probably don't meet.

You might believe you tell him your innermost thoughts, even those you can't tell your husband. You may feel encouraged and sustained by a person who you met online in a way that I do not think that you are supported by any of the people in your daily life.

Your friends on the Internet can find easy to offer support and encouragement, because you will never need to back up their words with real action any type or commitment. Talk is easy, and talk of support on the Internet may or may not be sincerely offered.

And ' true that some reports which start on the Internet will develop in the long term friendships online that in recent decades, although the two corresponding ever do not meet in person. And in some cases these relationships online with success also become friends in the off-line world.

But the kind of interaction you get on the Internet lacks some of the most important aspects of a friendship-l ' interaction with a real live person.

You don't get to experience the face of a friend with a smile because she is happy to see you. You don't get to participate in shared activities, and develop a story together. You don't have someone put your hand on your as exchanging confidences.

You do not know that your friend to the Internet is really who they say be! You do not know without a shadow of a doubt that whatever your friend on-line self says is true.

Although the Internet is a unique and useful means of communication between people, don't use it as a complete substitute for living the social contact. On-line balance your business with activities involving meeting and interacting with real people live in their local community.

Do not use the availability and ease of the Internet as an excuse to avoid some of the most difficult, but ultimately most rewarding work to develop relationships with people who already have around you.
