In the world of rapid hurly-Whirly obsessions of the media, fame, outwardly, is the crown jewel. Get crowned as a princess pop idol or a movie mega icon Prince is not an easy task without an entourage of advertising and public relations agents. Not to mention all the lawyers and their ilk. imaging is the magic charm of the professional spin doctors and swirl twirl with surprising results.

Many times an actor or singer is swept off their feet by the media machine and before they know it ... Hey Presto! are a success in the public eye. Gone is their anonymity and everything seems glamor and glitter.

A few mega stars "can keep their egos under control and not take success too seriously. However, they are few and far between. As we all know, history teaches us that to become rich and famous can have devastating consequences.

Without a solid foundation and a true reflection of themselves than their true nature, the successful artist becomes a pawn in the trappings moldable, media player mechanism. Become a game to grab all you can manipulate the star and everything that's worth. Become the goose that is, that their golden eggs and nothing else gets in the way of promotional machine.

Fortunately for the average person, are not going to suffer the slings and arrows of stardom regrettable, because not everything that glitters is gold. However, many people may still exist as a star performer in the game of life.

Take the game of golf as an example of how life can take on real meaning. If we could program a golf ball with a micro chip and every time the ball was hit off the tee, the ball would have traveled the entire distance of the fairway, run onto the green and into the cup. This would make a golf game useless, because everyone would win.

In every tournament there must be a winner. All golfers play the same course, but there is always someone who finds a path to success ... Why? When a player has played all his life what happens in that special day become a winner? It is only by chance. It 's a lucky day, or is there some other force at work? If there is an invisible force at work, can be exploited and developed all the time?

Well, it would be of no benefit if a magic force appointed top dog everyone in every competition, workplace or lottery, because everything would be similar to the ball program was pointing. The bravest people in the world.

Who are the bravest people in the world? Armed services? Coast Guard? Astronauts? Firepersons? Explorers? Mountaineers? ... ... Sports? For us, the bravest people in the world are those who have undertaken to discover how they can get the best of themselves. Individuals who undertake to learn and change their habits and beliefs in order to realize their dreams. Individuals, who fight the dreaded disease of complacency.

Complacency is one of the deadliest diseases you face in your life. It stifles growth. Kills companies. Destroys the economy of his country. Changes and destroys your relationship with your partner, friends, colleagues and children.

If you:

have a sense of self-satisfaction.

results are low in energy and enthusiasm.

have become unaware of danger, difficulty, or controversy in your life.

difficult to accept positive criticism and acknowledge your mistakes.

take ages making a decision, particularly those that will change your future or may be unpopular.

spend the day with an attitude of 'that is good enough' or 'do'.

Then, in a nutshell, complacency has you in its hands and is destroying you.

Complacency is taking away your spirit.

How do you overcome complacency? What is the treatment?

Napoleon Hill says the treatment is: Control your thoughts.

"We are looking for the magic key that opens the door to the source of power, and you have the key in your hands, and use them when they learn to control your thoughts.

The magic key is not to focus on and control your negative and wasteful thoughts but to develop your necessary and positive thoughts.

Negative thoughts and waste, such as guilt and concern, is of no use. Their task is to reduce your energy and your potential. To make you weaker than you really are. So do not focus your thinking on your weaknesses because the more you think negative thoughts and waste more you get from your potential. You can not change negative thoughts to positive ones.

So what can you do?

There are two strategies that you can take to be successful:

1. Focus on your necessary and positive thinking.

thoughts needed: those that keep your life of course work and positive thoughts are moving forward with the intention of forming win / win relationships. Both are invaluable. They bring you energy and success. They are your seeds of a successful life. Guide your feelings, words and actions. The more you can think in more positive your feelings, words and actions are positive and it has happened.

2. Stop asking 'why' when you do not get the desired results ..

'Why' cause only respond with 'why'. And any sentence starting with 'why' means that you are now defending your past behavior and change is impossible. Rather ask yourself, 'what caused it to happen' or 'how it happened'. Now you have something strong base your future.

These strategies are the antidote that finishes complacency and give you freedom.

You have the freedom to choose your behavior. No need to continue following others and what others say about you. All you have to do is focus on natural and positive thoughts. These give you power and allows you to find what you are really capable of.

The bravest people in the world are those who win the disease of complacency and strive to be all they are capable of being.

BORN body and spirit

We were born of body and spirit. The soul dies to one body of existence and comes to another. Death, illusion, doors without fear, as we die to the Holy of Holies day, knowingly and with exacting purpose. We, as Spirit-human, are in a perpetual state of transformation and transmutation. The Divine Self is a constant living expression of wonder and universal form of constant change through the developmental processes of bodies physical, emotional, mental and spiritual rising for eternity as a sacred spring spiral of consciousness. In other words, we are alive and eternal through the holy will of Gd, the Creator, until his death in this dimensional reality. The Temple purifies the body to ashes and the Spirit ascend to the worlds beyond. There is more truth and nothing more than freedom. This is, in fact, a peace beyond understanding and is eternal.

birthright of humanity on this floor is the process and progress towards the return to our more natural state, the Spirit. The soul evolves through a continuous renewal and the promise of Gd is manifested through the individual soul and collective (s) of humanity. This alliance can be illuminating broke. First of all, humanity must be recognized by the scientific and spiritual knowledge that every individual human being is multidimensional as we 'live and breathe and we are' and simultaneously working within and between different levels of consciousness. We seek the probability of distinguishing the human brain from ever ascending and transcending Spirit-Mind. The brain is a physical organ that serves the human being in mortal experience the physical, emotional and mental dimension of the third form of life. The brain is a functional tool for many voluntary and involuntary processes. It can be likened to a computer. The brain stores information, compute, objectifies, formulate responses and reactions and the hard-drive, which seeks pleasure, pain, fear and discomfort as it calculates the enjoyment of life experiences born of the soul. The transcendent mind or "non-local mind" is a separate entity known as yet understand the creative life Force. "Non-local mind is pure consciousness, unconditional and full of potential. It works in direct connection with the physical brain, but not the brain. The creative force, the "transcendent mind, is the blue-print of perfection that permeates the life-giving power of Gd, the Creator of all life and defines the omnipresent Divinity as the Light of our purest nature. This Light in all its beauty and glory is synonymous with the mind, the creative source, the consciousness of Gd within Humanity.

THE MYSTERIES OF HUMAN NATURE & THE TRINITY

All nature, including holy man, is a reflection of the Divine Presence. How holy man, meet, reflect and explore through the mind without limits. What we begin to perceive with clarity, enlightened knowledge that enables spiritual wisdom and purifies all illusion. Living a life full of illusions spouses separate us from the truth that all life is connected and all life is One with the Creator.

Life is a mystery or a memory? It's both? And 'neither? These mysteries may or must be taught humanity the mystical experience of actually knowing the sacred? We are getting complete clarity from Mind in or are the experiences of life, the wound that we carry, the paralyzing fear and doubt that falls prey to what I call our brain Filter, leave all humanity into chaos and confusion?

The filter brain responds through the experiences of life conscious and unconscious self-created, which appear to look like forebodingly our whole life and yet, in truth, we create experiences to learn, grow and to meet with Onesness. Our brain filters out the thin edge of even greater power of mind and we are lost in a labyrinth of confusion, illusion and live desperate lives without direction, purpose or prayer.

We are creative consciousness that uses the brain as a tool for the mind as we see both positive and negative, depending on our direct focus, concentration and be disciplined or chaotic thoughts, feelings and actions. We are Gd Consciousness. We are the light reflecting H / Her image. We are co-creators through the free will of the Trinity sacred gift of Gd, the creator, God in man, and G - d, the Holy Spirit. Where have you identified?

awaits the awakening of human life and transforms the most sincere atheist or fatalistic doomsday in a budding lotus always love and creative inspiration, a co-creator with Gd. And 'the illusion of fear that we hold so convincing when all the scientific and spiritual knowledge of contemporary society and always suggests that the ancient texts of the Holy

Watch names and seven breakout within the Christian Church and in all major religions. Learn to recognize the ego structure of the man who denies the complaint and challenge the Human Spirit .. Learn for yourself that is deception and love and compassion, transform and transmute this ego driven into madness and spiritual alignment.

Your name is the revelation?

Whether you are called a Christian, Buddhist Faith, jew faith, the faith of Islam or any religion or spiritual living Gd. Looking for knowledge in all and yourself to discover the perfume of heavenly light that weaves the truth in all the sacred texts of the world. You need not be a scholar and you do not need to study world religions in depth, if this is not your vocation.

Yet a basic knowledge of the great religions and spiritual practices of the world unite all people, as Gd teaches wisdom same throughout all key non violent religion, but also the mystical experiences that shake our world of conscious reality. The language may be different. The symbolism may appear different, however, the essence remains the same. The sum and substance of Gd talks about Sense and Sensibility, without separation of race, creed or color. We are one race, the human race and that is why I remember that peace, compassion and eternal vitality flourishes.

Reveal yourself, oh, man's spirit. Follow your heart is aligned with consecrated Mind. Do not follow casually and certainly do not follow another human being, no matter how seemingly knowledgeable, competent or charismatic presence. Meet your powerful presence. Will then 'know thyself' as experienced, competent and charismatic. These are the qualities of Christ living within you. Hone these qualities. Tune yourself to the vibrational frequencies that will pave the way for world service. These qualities already exist. Discover them. Develop them. Seek knowledge, wisdom and truth inside your Holy Being and experience the intimacy of your car will be blessed to build a foundation on which to sanctify themselves through Universal Christhood. Boldly go where few have tread and serve humanity with the consciousness of high indwelling of the Spirit through your beloved. The thread of universal spiritual truth will be discovered when you allow the expansion of knowledge through the conscious will to explore, investigate, and the question of the covenant of Gd's great promise, "... Ask and you shall receive." Do not be afraid. Challenge the sacred promises of Gd in your mind and in all religious texts. Ask with conviction and hope. As you receive each piece of the puzzle mystic and academic, will find that each question and answer requires another question and then another and another. Therefore, the evolution of our consciousness transcends Mind's level on level of knowledge revealing as we seek the H / fullness of life in the spirit of reality consecrated.

The mind is a sacred place to live. The journey is an inspiration. There is no charge that pulses through in-service creative life-giving Spirit. There is oppression that we freely take 'the yoke of Christ' and try to express this wonderful union with all life. When the Master Jesus exhorts mankind to take 'the yoke of Christ upon us,' It is not asking us to take a heavy load on our shoulders to carry a heavy heart all eternity. Teaches humanity to accept a conscious union with Gd to serve the Light. Jesus teaches again and again: "I am the light of the world. You are the light of the world." This is our birthright. Know yourself as 'the Light of the World' and know the light of true freedom.

Wisdom in the teachings of Master Jesus asks all of humanity to recognize, remember and respond to our divine birthright and become the Masters of Light, the spiritual leader of the 21st century. We are eternal Mind. Each of us can take upon ourselves the yoke of liberating life, any religion and spiritual practice (s) we love our expression in the world. We are a "... the point of Light within the Mind of God ..." take up the cross of Ascension, while laying to rest the Cross of the Crucifixion and Born to be the light of your Holy Self. Embrace your birthright and become the favorite.

If you want other people like you, like you before!

Many of us mistakenly believe that it is wrong or presumptuous to think we have good quality. You can spend a lot of time blame ourselves for our negative qualities, thinking that self criticism is the key to improving our performance. However, a constant focus on our supposed shortcomings can hinder our efforts to make friends with other people.

How can we have the confidence to make new friends, if we think we have much to offer? How can we believe that others could like us if we believe that our inner being is flawed? Or if we think we are too boring for anyone else interested?

One might ask what anyone else would have seen us if we do not see anything good in ourselves. To allow others to be attracted to us, must be able to easily see our best qualities. If we focus on our good qualities we have much more confidence that we have something of value to offer in a relationship.

If you want to be socially successful, it is important to accept that not everyone is going to like you in all circumstances. Not everyone is going as you enter the package, especially on first meeting her. Each person has a unique pattern of likes and dislikes which were formed long before you met. Do not think you have to condemn yourself as a failure if it looks like someone else you like.

If someone seems to dislike you, the reason for that dislike might have little or nothing to do with you. The person that you do not like could be fear, or shallow, or busy or shy. Perhaps you and are simply a mismatch for the other person at this particular time.

Do not take yourself out of the game, deciding that your flaws are bigger than your assets. In fact, some of which are considered very flaws may be irresistible to someone else. For all factors that could cause a person to reject you, there are at least as many factors will work in your favor with someone else.

You may be more than thirty pounds your ideal weight, but could be a wonderful laugh and great joy for life. There are many people that your extra pounds will literally invisible. You can drive a shabby car, but it could be a great dancer and a loyal friend. There are people out there looking for loyalty, or fun, or sweetness, or spirit, and the package is in is not important.

If you are concerned that they are not beautiful to attract friends to keep in mind that not everyone is looking for physical beauty to their friends.

You can decide to feel inferior because you do not have much money and not to drive
a nice car. One can believe that this is the reason why you do not have many friends in life. On the other hand, if you're rich you can be suspicious that after all your money and that nobody really like as a person.

The point is that you can fixate on anything and I think the reason you can not make any friends.

Here's an easy way to remind yourself of what your qualities are: write a list of good quality and revise often. Do not think in your mind on what your good qualities may actually make the effort to write the list. The act of writing helps to reinforce the power of ideas in your mind. Do not be embarrassed to give yourself credit for his good points. If you have no idea what your point might be good, you might want to ask some people you know.

When compiling the list of good qualities, be as generous in your praise as your best friend in the whole wide world would be! If you do not have any best friends yet, imagine in your mind a wise and loving friend who knows you truly and appreciates you. What would this person say are your good points?

Here are some ideas that might apply to you. Feel free to modify this list for you and add to it.

My strengths are:

· I'm kind
· I never gossip
· I go out my way of helping others
· I'm good with numbers
· I have a calm disposition
· I know a lot of sports

You can keep the list with you and read over every day. Add to it whenever you think of new good quality to find in yourself. Pay attention to the compliments that others give you. The positive qualities that others see in you can go on your list as well.

When you're out there meeting people often remember all the wonderful qualities you have. It 's just a matter of time before meeting other people who appreciate them too!

Learning to relax. Instead of blaming themselves for some perceived flaw, focus on the good qualities you have to offer. Realize that there is an audience for your particular combination of gifts, and go looking for people who appreciate them.

Seriously. With absolute certainty, what do you know? Put aside all opinions, beliefs and theories for a moment and address this straight question: What we know for sure? Or, as Thoreau put:

"Let us resolve ourselves, and work and wedge our feet downward through the mud and slush of opinion, and prejudice, and tradition, and delusion, and appearance, that flood that covers the globe ... through church and state, through poetry and philosophy and religion, until we come to a hard bottom and rocks in place, which we call reality and say: This is, and no error, and then start ... "

In other words, let's cut the crap and understand what is real. The cogito does exactly that, and it is very simple. The question is: What do you know?

The answer is: I Am

All other so-called facts are really facts and not fall into the category of consensual reality and relative truth, namely, the reality and the unreal truth is not true.

Cogito ergo sum is the equation that proves the fact. But first, before going ahead, ask what else we know. What more can you say for sure?

Nothing. We know nothing else. And this is the real point of the cogito. The importance of I Am is not a fact, but it 's the only fact.

Am I the only thing that nobody ever knew or will ever know. Everything else, all religion and philosophy, is nothing but the interpretation of dreams. There is no other fact than me. The cogito is the seed of thought that destroys the universe. Beyond the cogito, nothing is known. Beyond the cogito, nothing can be known. Except I Am, nothing is known. ::: The line is drawn

The cogito is the line between fantasy and reality. On one side of the cogito is a universe of beliefs and ideas and theories. To cross the line is to leave everything behind. No theory, concept, belief, opinion or debate can have no possible basis in reality once the ramifications of the cogito have completely saturated the mind. No dialogue can take place across that line because nothing that makes sense on both sides makes sense on the other.

We all think we know what the cogito means, this is an invitation to challenge this assumption. If you really understood the philosophy professors, are not professors of philosophy. Alfred North Whitehead said that all philosophy is a footnote to Plato, but the whole philosophy, Plato included, is rendered obsolete and irrelevant by Descartes. Nothing but the subjective I Am is true, then what is the point of talking about?

The cogito is not a simple thought or idea, is an ego-eating virus that incubated and nurtured properly, will eventually devour all illusion. Once we know that the cogito, we can begin systematically unknowing everything we thought we know, and reveal the self we are not.

::: Life is a dream

There is no such thing as objective reality. Two can not be proved. Nothing can be detected. Time and space, love and hate, good and evil, cause and effect, all ideas are right. Who says you know something is really saying they do not know the only thing. The religious and philosophical thoughts and ideas in human history does not contain truth than the bleating of sheep. The greatest books are more authoritative than the largest meat lunch.

Nobody knows anything.

::: Refute it for you

Who would deny these allegations sufficient to demonstrate the significance of the cogito that whatever something is true. By all means, give it a try, dash my head on it, but can not be done. Cogito ergo sum, however, is not the end point of inquiry is the starting point is a tool that helps us to see, without intermediaries, exactly what is true and what is not.

Being critical of Buddhism is not easy.

Buddhism is the most sympathetic of the great religions, and Buddhists are the perennial good guys of modern spirituality. Beautiful traditions, lovely architecture, inspiring statuary, ancient history, the Dalai Lama - What's not to like?

About Buddhsim is just so ... Nice. No fatwa or jihad took no inquisitions or crusades, no terrorists or pedophiles, just nice people being nice. In fact, Buddhism means kindness. Nice-ism.

At least, should.

Buddha means Awakened One, so Buddhism can be understood Awake-ism. Awakism. It would therefore be natural to think that if you were trying to wake up, then Buddhism, ie, Awakism, would be the place to look.

::: The light Better Over Here

Such thinking, however, reveal a dangerous lack of respect for the opposition. Maya, goddess of delusion, has done its job with supreme mastery since the first spark of self-awareness flickered in some chimp pumpkin, and the idea that the neophyte truth applicant may simply register with the Buddhists, read some books, some hug new concepts and beat her to the floor could be a bit 'naive side.

On the other hand, why not? How'd this get so turned around? It 's just the truth. Should not be the truth, as the simplest thing? If someone wants to find something as ubiquitous as truth be able to do so? And here's this venerable organization supposedly dedicated to that very thing, including the name, so what's the problem?

::: Why does not Buddhism produce Buddhas?

The problem stems from the fact that Buddhists, like everyone else, insist on reconciling the irreconcilable. They not only want to awaken to the truth, but they also want to make sense of the false. Want to have your cake and eat it too, so you end up with nonsensical theories, divergent schools, sagacious doubletalk, and zero Buddha.

Typical of Buddhist insistence on reconciling the irreconcilable is the concept of two truths, a line of two barbed words that do not seem, yet this kind of irrational thinking evil is the heart of the search failed for the truth. We do not want the truth, we want a particular truth, one that does not threaten the ego, which does not exist. We insist on a truth that makes sense in light of what we know, not knowing what we know nothing.

Buddhism is nothing more revealing than the Four Noble Truths which, not being true, are rather dubious nobility. They form the basis of Buddhism, then it is clear from the outset that the Buddhists have whipped up a proprietary version of truth shaped more by market forces Than Any particular concern to consumers less-friendly, albeit true, truth.

Yes, Buddhism may be spiritually filling, even nourishing, but insofar as the truth is concerned, is junkfood. You can eat every day of your life and die just as an alarm clock as the day you joined.

::: Bait & Switch

Buddhism is a classic bait-and-operation switch. We are attracted by light in the window, but when we start steering brings us to the compassion aisle. Buddhists could be honest and change their name to Compassionism, but who wants that?

Here's the problem. They can not sell compassion and not able to provide illumination.

This false advertising is the type of game you play if you want to stay in a successful business where the customer is always wrong. You can exit the business honestly, or thrive by giving people what they want. What they say they want and what they really want, though, are two very different things.

::: Me Me Me

To an outside observer, much of Buddhist knowledge and practice seems focused on spiritual self-improvement. Even this is difficult to speak against ... except in the context of awakening from illusion. Then it is easy.

There is no such thing as true self, so any pursuit geared toward its enlargement, improvement, elevation, raising, evolution, glorification, salvation, etc., is absolute madness. The more so that any effort undertaken merely to increase their happiness or contentment or, I am ashamed to even say, happiness?

Self is ego and ego is the realm of the dreamstate. If you want to get rid of the dreamstate, you must get rid of itself, does not stretch to make it purr or groom for a better future imagined.

::: Maya's House of Enlightenment

The trick of being critical of so esteemed and beloved an institution is not to get dragged into the quagmire of detail and debate. It 'very simple: If Buddhism is about enlightenment, people should always be lit. If it is not lighting, which should change the sign.

Of course, Buddhism is not entirely unique in its survival tactics. This same gulf between promise and performance is in all systems of human spirituality. We're looking into Buddhism because it is there that is more pronounced. No disrespect to the Buddha is intended. If there was a Buddha and was lit, then it's Buddhism that insults his memory, not healthy skepticism. Guilt followed the emperor's naked tailors and toadies, not the guy who merely states the obvious.

Buddhism is by far the highest of belief systems great man. If you want to enjoy the many valuable benefits it has to offer, then I do not pretend to say a word against it. But if you want to escape from the clutches of Maya, then I suggest you look very closely at the serene face on all those golden statues to see if it is not really his.

"Nobody is prophet in his own country.

That line keeps running through my mind as I sit at a lunch with my sister who I have not seen in several years. These days I'm the guy lit, but I'm her only boy boys who could not have eye contact when she wore a bikini.

And 'summer '01 and we're at lunch in Manhattan. Read a preview copy of bloody and had a few months to digest. It 'was very nice of her to read it because it is not really the kind of thing. It is a good citizen, a successful executive, wife, mother, a Republican, tennis nut, Christian-ish, and all-round productive members of society. (He once told me that he was raising his children to be productive members of society and a face so strong that nearly chipped a tooth.) She is a wonderful person, but not a member of the demographic the book speaks.

There is a plate of chilled pasta and a salad in front of me in front of her. We're both drinking iced tea. He runs the creative side of a medium sized advertising agency, I have no doubt she is very good. Is taking time on a tight schedule to have lunch with me. After this I go to the park to lie on the grass and watch people play with their dogs.

The problem is that these people, my family are all related to my shell, and I'm not. They are looking outside Jed McKenna and assuming an interior Jed McKenna. There can be anything genuine in my relationships with people who have to do with my outer garment. Actually, not really confused. I do not have the slightest shred of doubt about who and what they are. The hard thing is that who and what I do is connected to this beautiful, professional-woman eating salad in front of me. In coming to this dinner, I added in a situation where I belong. I am an imposter. I have some residual love for my sister and I would be sad if she died thinking that she was no longer in the world, but the fact is that our previous report no longer exists.

Okay, then why I say this?

Why is what I do. I try to keep this thing for the display and this seems an interesting aspect of the whole deal. How to relate to people who were most important to you before awakening from the dream of the segregated self?

Asks why I'm in town.

"My astrologer told me it was the right time to get away and not try to accomplish something. They said that Rahu and Ketu is not letting me do anything for a while 'anyway ..."

I look up and see that she has stopped chewing in mid bite and looked at me incredulously.

"What?"

"My astrologer ..."

"You're not serious. You have astrologers?"

Oh yeah. I guess that sounds weird. I was vaguely aware that I was trying to be funny by starting a sentence with "My astrologer told me ..." but what is a bit 'funny to me is another world for her. Could also have fun with it.

"I have dozens of astrologers. I can not swing a dead cat without hitting someone who's doing my chart or explaining how will my future, advised me on almost everything."

His expression does not change. "You have astrologers?"

"Lots. Gotta beat 'em off with a stick."

"And say ... you say what the future holds? What should I do? When you should do? What you should avoid? That 's what we are talking about?"

"I guess."

Resumes chewing but wide-eyed gaze remains. There is a chasm in this conversation through which it is useless to try to communicate. She knows I'm in some serious weirdness, but not how much or what kind. I do not have astrologers, of course, but in those days did seem like I was surrounded by students from Eastern and Western astrology who were always very eager to share their readings.

"What are you doing with all this information?"

"Jesus," he says, shaking his head. "My brother has his own astrologers."

I'm used to communicate with people who are not awake and not happy. Everything else is talk, talk for the sake of talking, reinforcing the illusion of self. I'm not against it, I do not care to participate. My fault.

"So, it is obviously a big influence on your students," he says, sipping his iced tea. I mull her statement over and decide that I do not have an answer. I take another bite of pasta, wishing I'd ordered something with meat.

"I mean," he says, "have obviously held in high esteem. This is a great responsibility."

She thought, understandably, she is my sister and we're having a meeting, a nice little catch-up lunch. It 'been thrown a curve with this thing little-brother/spiritual-master and is trying to handle it. Do you think I'm a fraud? Do you think I'm running a game? And you think that deep down I'm still very much her little brother? I do not know and I do not care much. The fact that she is damn light does not mean that you and I can speak, it means you need to know that we can not. She does not seem to be clear on this point. Maybe she thinks the enlightenment thing is just my day job and I can leave that role to be with someone who knows the real me.

"I do not know. I suppose it's a responsibility."

"You do not know? Obviously these people are strongly influenced by you. I do not think it's a great responsibility?"

Shrug. The first thing I said when we got together was that I was not dressed well enough for the restaurant. That statement is so alien to me that I could only shrug. Now it seems that every statement it makes is so alien to me that I can only shrug.

By accepting this lunch engagement, my hope was that I could slip back into my person old enough to manage a civil meal. It 's been too optimistic. I can not represent me and are simply unable to formulate a response to everything he has to say, I forgot my lines. We do not share a common language and there is no way to make them understand that. From his point of view saying perfectly normal, conversational things.

"Yes, I suppose that is a big responsibility," I say, trying to say something that sounds like I'm saying something.

She lowers her voice. "You hear a lot about people in his position taking advantage of that responsibility for disgusting .... I hope you would never do such a thing."

"Whatever. Power corrupts. I just hope that you will be careful."

Sweet. Big Sister giving little brother some advice on how to shoulder the burden of power. Being in advertising, maybe you think we have something in common; handle the power to influence people's thoughts. Maybe he thinks we are in the same business, I do not know.

I set my fork and sit down. 'Well, when I walk home, I always carry somebody with a boom-box playing Darth Vader theme music to give a heavy air and threatening to my approach. And I certainly do not dress like this. I, You know, clothes, beads, and I always carry fresh flowers. Just trappings, all very boring, really, but the minions expect it. There was a little resistance at first to have them call me Shri Shri Shri Shri Jed but got the hang of it. And remembering to speak in first person plural and singular, no human can take some 'getting used to, but there are, I mean, uh, me, happy to make this effort. Noblesse and to oblige. "

She stares for a moment, then bursts out laughing. I guess some ice has broken because we are able to continue in a more gentle and friendly, and eventually say goodbye with genuine affection.

I doubt I'll ever see her again, but I'm happy knowing that she is still in the world.
